Currently there are 7 classrooms for a school of 250 pupils and 2 dormitories, which are overcrowded with up to 24 pupils in a room no larger than a standard sized bedroom in the UK. The classrooms still require more rendering of the internal side walls, and the external walls would benefit from a coat of paint. The roof on the new block also needs to be tied down and end barge boards are needed to stop the risk of a strong wind lifting the roof. The original classroom block also needs to be rendered and painted internally and externally. Installation of solar lighting and power will bring many benefits has the school grows and develops. Erection of a perimeter fence to improve security is a requirement, this is planned to be completed in November 2016.
Funding for teacher’s salary and provision of teaching materials and equipment; welfare support for the pupils, to include provision of clothes and shoes, a meal and medical treatment is required urgently, too many times in the past teachers have not been paid, yet much to their credit they have still turned up to teach the children. The children attend school and do not have a meal, and many do not necessarily have a regular meal at home.
